SOB4ES at the Bi-Annual Meeting of the Working Group 'Soil Biology – Application'

SOB4ES was represented at the bi-annual meeting of the working group “Soil Biology – application (BioSA)” organized by the Swiss Federal Office by the Environment (OFEV) in April 2024. Consortium partner Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL gave a presentation about the SOB4ES project and outlined the work done in Work Package 2 (sampling design), with a focus of the ongoing activities in Switzerland.

The BioSA working group consists of a representative from the OFEV, the different Swiss cantons, and research institutes, and was set up in 1995 by the cantonal soil protection authorities and the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN). This group deals with soil biology issues, with a view to implementing soil protection and maintaining soil fertility in accordance with the Ordinance on Soil Pollution (OSol).
